In the summer of 2017, Alton Sterling is murdered by police, another racist killing perpetrated by law enforcement. Against this backdrop, Italian filmmaker Roberto Minervini follows his protagonists - residents of black neighborhoods in Louisiana and Mississippi - through their everyday lives. Weaving together several narrative strands, the film captivates its audience with powerfully eloquent characters, fearless female leadership of political movements, and teenage brotherhood in a hostile world. An intimate film portrait shot in black-and-white, moving between public and private spaces, and multiple generations; defined by the pursuit for justice and human dignity in the face of entrenched historical racism and ongoing violence.
In cooperation with Kaleidoskop - Film und Freiluft am Karlsplatz. Since 2019, CineCollective invites to the film festival under the starry sky in the middle of the city and deals with the coexistence in urban spaces.

With the online screening of ON THE INSIDE OF A MILITARY DICTATORSHIP (2019), the Hub aims to use its potential to respond to and provide impetus for discussion of current events.

Starting from a specific abduction, the essay film opens up an artistic space to address the disappearance of countless people in the Lebanese civil war. In a city that tries by all means to erase these traces.

The Porn Film Festival Vienna offers a film and theory program that breaks the monotony of boring cheesy mainstream porn - to proudly present feminist, queer & LGBTQIA+ positions. Our vision is to create a safe space to collectively discuss and reflect on pornography, sexuality and sexual identity.

Filmmaker Leart Rama, created the trailer for this human world outlines last year and was Artist-in-Restident at Q21 in 2017. He presented the short documentary THE STATION in cooperation with DokuFest, International Documentary and Short Film Festival at this human world in 2017.
