Twenty years after his most successful film Survival in New York Rosa von Praunheim meets the protagonists of his old New York films again.
The director's recollections of forty years New York, for him the most exciting city in the world. He reports about the freaky Warhol-time of the 70th, from the fight against AIDS in the 80th, the hopeful 90th up to the shock of 9/11, the economic crisis and the new dreams arisen from Barack Obama's presidency.
He meets Anna and Claudia, the stars of his film hit Survival in New York, is fascinated by the young, pretty sisters Lucie and Marie Pohl and from Isaac who already at the age of twelve announced to the world that he is not a girl, but a boy. It comes to meetings with freaky and famous personalities like Judith Malina and Klaus Pohl.
